About the Role:
Kendall Eye Institute Inc is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our medical practice in Miami, FL. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated healthcare team where your people skills and attention to detail truly make a difference in patients' lives every day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner upon arrival
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information in the EMR system
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office
- Handle medical billing inquiries and assist with prior authorizations as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a medical or healthcare front desk/receptionist role preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EMR/EHR systems, and insurance verification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred (Miami market)
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative certification a plus
