About the role

We’re recruiting a Document Controller for our London office to primarily support data centre and mission critical projects. You’ll join a growing, collaborative team within an established firm that values development, flexibility and sustainability.

Working with our engineering teams, you will ensure the flow, accuracy and quality of information exchanged with external collaborators, maintaining clear and consistent documentation and managing uploads/downloads to project platforms. If you’re organised, technically literate and enjoy working with specialist engineers to deliver coordinated, high-quality design information, we’d like to hear from you.

In this key and varied role, you can expect to:

  • Day-to-day distribution, storage and retrieval of electronic drawings and documents.
  • Monitoring project external websites, uploading and downloading drawings and reports, and distributing them to the team.
  • Electronic issue and filing of drawings and other documents, including maintaining drawing registers and electronic drawing files.
  • Converting incoming and outgoing drawing files to commonly usable file formats, as required.
  • Pre-archiving and archiving of project documents.
  • General administrative tasks.
  • QA reviews of documents before upload.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to be:

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage document control on large, complex projects
  • Organised and confident in tracking key design issues and deliverables from the project team
  • Comfortable chasing engineering leads to ensure documents are issued on time
  • Able to maintain and update document trackers to monitor team progress
  • Educated to GCSE grade C/4 or above in English, Maths, Physics, or similar numerate/science subjects
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious, and creative
  • Flexible and able to work independently in a consultancy environment
  • A strong team player
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and databases, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A clear communicator with the confidence to build effective working relationships at all levels
