Dog Trainer (Full-Time / Part-Time)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Dog Trainer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for conducting obedience training, behavioural modification, puppy socialisation, and enrichment programmes while ensuring the safety and well-being of every dog in our care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-to-one and group dog training sessions.
• Assess dogs' behaviour and develop suitable training plans.
• Train puppies and adult dogs in basic and advanced obedience.
• Provide behavioural consultations and guidance to pet owners.
• Support daycare activities by promoting positive social interactions.
• Monitor dogs' health, behaviour, and welfare during training.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised training environment.
• Educate pet owners on reinforcement techniques and responsible pet ownership.
• Work closely with the pet care, and grooming teams to deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Certified Dog Trainer (e.g. CPDT-KA, IAABC, IMDT, KPACTP, or equivalent recognised certification).
• Minimum 2 years of professional dog training experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of canine behaviour, learning theory, and positive reinforcement methods.
• Patient, responsible, and confident handling dogs of all breeds and sizes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Passion for animal welfare and continuous learning.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
