Downstream Performance & Business Analysis Expert

Shape business decisions at one of the most complex downstream operations in the region

Join MOL Group’s Downstream Value Chain Assessment team and play a key role in business performance analysis, decision support and value creation across the refining and petrochemical value chain.

In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic decision-making, performance tracking and optimization across multiple production sites.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-impact business and performance analyses to support Downstream management decision-making

• Prepare and coordinate regular business performance reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) at Group level

• Contribute to Board-level reporting materials and executive-level insights

• Support and partially own the material balance calculations across multiple refinery sites (MOL, MPC, SN, SPC)

• Drive the calculation and tracking of lost opportunities and performance gaps across downstream operations

• Deliver benchmarking analyses and identify improvement opportunities

• Support and track efficiency improvement and value optimization initiatives

• Coordinate ad-hoc business analysis and data requests for senior stakeholders

• Work closely with Downstream Finance, Strategy, Production and Supply teams

• Contribute to cross-functional projects, representing the performance assessment perspective

• Support internal coordination and task allocation within the team

What we are looking for

• Master’s degree in Economics or Business

• 4+ years of experience in business/performance analysis, controlling or consulting

• Fluent English

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in KPIs, reporting and benchmarking

• Solid stakeholder management and communication skills

• Project management experience is nice to have

• Understanding of downstream / refining / petrochemical value chain is an advantage
