Dr Ji Liang Hui Group: Laboratory Technologist
Summary
A Laboratory Technologist conducts enzyme engineering and synthetic biology research, focusing on genetic transformation and validation of yeast strains like Pichia pastoris and Rhodotorula toruloides.
We are looking for a Laboratory Technologist to join the team to work on the enzyme engineering and synthetic biology research mainly focusing on red yeast (Rhodotorula toruloides) and Pichia pastoris.
Responsibilities:
- Perform recombinant DNA workflows in E. coli and yeasts
- Genetic transformation and functional validation of yeast strains, particularly Pichiapastoris and Rhodotorula toruloides.
- Assist in general lab maintenance duties
Requirements:
- A diploma or B.Sc. in biotechnology or microbiology
- A fast learner with keen interest to develop a career path in biotechnology or food technology
