About Us

At Welead, we manufacture and deliver bespoke, high-endcommercial furniture solutions locally. We partner with bespoke furniturecompanies and general contractors to furnish corporate offices. Most projectthat we handled are customized and we are seeking a highly organized projectdrafter to manage timelines, ensure details are in line with orders andhands-on site installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Production Drawings: Create detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and 2D/3D for custom furniture, cabinetry, wardrobes, and joinery using software like Pytha and AutoCAD. This involves producing plans, elevations, sections, and detail drawings with accurate dimensions.
  • Translate Design Concepts: Interpret design briefs and conceptual sketches, converting them into accurate, scaled technical drawings suitable for factory production.
  • Collaborate with Production: Work closely with client, sales and production team to clarify details and ensure designs are practical for manufacturing.
  • Prepare Cutting Lists & Specifications: Generate detailed material lists, cutting schedules, assembly instructions, and specify materials, finishes, and hardware.
  • Liaise with Clients and Designers: Coordinate with designers, drafters, and occasionally clients to understand requirements and finalize layouts.
  • Site Coordination: Conduct site measurements and surveys as needed, and prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
  • Maintain Documentation: Ensure proper version control and documentation of all project drawings.

Requirements &Skills:

  • Experience: requires 1-5 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably in custom furniture, millwork, carpentry, or interior fit-out.
  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD and Pytha
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, joinery works, and materials used in furniture and cabinetry.
  • Site Ready: Comfortable working in a factory shopfloor and occasional visiting active commercial construction zones and adhering to safety regulations (PPE required).
  • Soft Skills: Fluency in English, attention to details, problem-solving, and the ability to work with production teams are essential.
