Drafter (Interior Fit-Out / Construction)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our team, with a strong focus on carpentry detailing, joinery drawings, and fabrication/shop drawings.

The successful candidate will support both our in-house carpentry production and interior fit-out projects, ensuring drawings are accurate, practical, and suitable for fabrication and site installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed carpentry, joinery, and fabrication/shop drawings for factory production and site installation.

• Develop accurate 2D drawings, including layout plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using AutoCAD.

• Translate design concepts and architectural drawings into practical, production-ready drawings.

• Prepare detailed drawings for custom-made furniture, cabinets, counters, wall panels, and other carpentry works.

• Coordinate with the carpentry production team to ensure drawings are feasible for fabrication.

• Support interior fit-out projects by preparing construction, submission, and as-built drawings.

• Liaise with Project Managers, Designers, and site teams to clarify technical details and resolve drawing discrepancies.

• Revise drawings based on site measurements, client feedback, and production requirements.

• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and submitted within project deadlines.

• Maintain proper drawing documentation and revision records.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, Building Drafting, or related discipline.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably in carpentry, joinery, or interior fit-out.

• Proficient in AutoCAD (essential).

• Strong knowledge of carpentry construction methods, joinery details, materials, and fabrication processes.

• Able to independently prepare detailed shop drawings suitable for factory production.

• Familiar with construction drawings, site measurements, and installation requirements.

• Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D software is an advantage.

• Good coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage multiple drawing assignments.
