Drafter (Interior Fit-Out / Construction)
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Drafter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for commercial and retail interior fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and develop detailed 2D drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
Produce layout plans, elevations, sections, and construction details based on project requirements.
Prepare detailed carpentry and joinery drawings for fabrication and installation.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, Quantity Surveyors, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
Review architectural and design drawings to identify discrepancies and resolve technical issues.
Revise and update drawings according to site conditions, client comments, and project changes.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, site measurements, and construction requirements.
Maintain proper drawing records and ensure timely submission of drawings.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Interior Design, Architecture, Building Drafting, or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably in interior fit-out or construction.
Proficient in AutoCAD (essential).
Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D software will be an advantage.
Good understanding of construction details, materials, carpentry, and joinery works.
Able to interpret architectural and construction drawings.
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently.
Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with project teams.
Able to manage multiple projects and meet drawing submission deadlines.
