Summary
Creates and updates electrical drawings (layouts, schematics, SLDs) and coordinates with engineers and vendors to ensure compliant, integrated electrical systems for construction projects.
Electrical Drafting
- Prepare detailed electrical layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, cable routing plans, and other technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop, revise, and maintain electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Update drawings based on design revisions, site mark-ups, engineers' comments, and project requirements.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate CAD files, drawing registers, and project documentation.
Coordination
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, site supervisors, and other disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, and civil) to ensure proper integration of electrical systems.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain technical documentation, equipment information, and drawing details.
- Support the preparation and tracking of Requests for Information (RFIs), technical submittals, and document control.
- Monitor project progress and assist in preparing project reports, schedules, and status updates.
- Attend coordination meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on assigned action items.
General
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
