Draftsman

About the Role

BYD THAILAND is looking for a Draftsman to prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings and construction-related documents. This role will work closely with site teams, consultants, designers, and subcontractors to ensure drawing accuracy, resolve design conflicts, and support smooth project execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Review and prepare shop drawings in accordance with design drawings and project requirements.

• Support site teams in preparing, revising, and coordinating shop drawings.

• Create and maintain SketchUp models and construction-related drawings.

• Coordinate with site teams, consultants, designers, and subcontractors to resolve drawing conflicts and improve constructability.

• Review design details and identify potential drawing discrepancies before construction.

• Develop, update, and continuously improve company-standard drawings and drawing templates.

• Coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• Assist in resolving drawing-related issues and provide technical support to project teams.

• Ensure all drawings and BIM models comply with company standards and project requirements.

• Maintain drawing records and support document control processes.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in drafting and shop drawing preparation.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with SketchUp is preferred.

• Good understanding of construction drawings and drawing coordination processes.

• Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings.

• Knowledge of BIM models and document control processes is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with site teams and other project stakeholders.
