Driver - Class 1 Tramper
Summary
A Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver at DHL Supply Chain delivers palletised goods to warehouses and RDCs, secures loads, and operates under shift patterns including overnight stays in the vehicle’s sleeper cab.
Pay Rate: £39, 355.68 + night out payment
Grade: RCS P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off Tramping Shift. Available start times - 12am, 2am, 3am, 4am or 6am
Location: Manton Wood - S80 3EG
✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Delivering palletised goods to warehouses and RDC's - between 1 and 3 drops per day
- Strapping and securing the load, occasional tipping through use of manual pallet truck
- Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card

Willingness and ability to work a tramping shift pattern, including overnight stays in the vehicle's sleeper cab
- Are comfortable with manual handling - strapping/securing loads and occasional use of manual pallet truck
