About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-conscious Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Driver to join our team at our skilled nursing facility. This position combines resident transportation with hands-on resident care, helping ensure residents travel safely and receive respectful, high-quality assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outside activities, and other approved destinations.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles, including wheelchair transfers and mobility assistance as appropriate.
- Provide CNA-level resident care and assistance with activities of daily living as assigned.
- Maintain resident dignity, privacy, comfort, and safety throughout transportation and care.
- Perform vehicle safety checks and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate transportation records and follow facility procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, facility staff, and healthcare providers.
- Follow infection prevention, resident rights, and applicable safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Current California Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
- Valid California driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely assist residents with varying mobility needs.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Dependability, punctuality, patience, and a compassionate approach to resident care.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or resident transportation is preferred.
