Primary Purpose:

As a DOT Driver at Franklin Building Supply, you're not just behind the wheel you’re on the ground, hands-on, moving materials and making job sites run. This is a physically demanding, active role built for someone who takes pride in hard work, likes to stay moving, and wants to be home at the end of every day. As an employee-owner, the work you do directly contributes to a company you have a stake in.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Driving: Operate DOT-regulated Class A or B trucks to safely transport building materials to job sites
• Physical Labor: Load and unload building materials by hand, this role is physically demanding and requires strength, stamina, and a strong work ethic every day
• Forklift Operation: Use a forklift to handle and stage materials efficiently at the yard and on site
• Material Placement: Place and arrange materials at job sites according to framer and contractor preferences
• Customer Interaction: Represent Franklin Building Supply professionally with customers and subcontractors on every stop
• Product Returns: Process material returns accurately and efficiently
• Team Support: Work alongside your crew and foreman to keep deliveries moving and job sites stocked
• Product Knowledge: Stay current on building materials and products to better serve customers and contractors
