Driver II
Summary
A CDL Class B Driver collects and transports recycling materials, performs vehicle inspections, and ensures compliance with safety and documentation standards.
Experienced CDL Class B Driver that provides recycling collection services to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner, obeying all traffic laws and company policies
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, as a representative of Key Works
- Ensure accuracy of all documentation for all prepared loads
- Load and unload trucks daily and ensure safe organization of supplies
- Complete pre and post trip inspection and documentation of vehicle condition daily
- Report on mechanical problems for the attention of the Route Manager and/or Maintenance Manager
- Maintain daily route sheets and route boxes according to company standards and state and federal regulations
- Perform emergency minor roadside repairs such as installing light bulbs and tire chains
- Attend meetings, workshops, etc. as designated by the Route Manager
- Advise work therapy clients of safety protocols and professional standards of conduct, if applicable
- Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
