The Driver’s primary duty is to provide safe, secure and legally compliant driving. He/ she supports the Team Leader to provide journey management for clients in hostile and high-risk environments. He/ she is responsible for maintaining the highest personal and professional standards in accordance with Control Risks’ standard operating procedures (SOPs); and to work with colleagues to deliver the best possible service for the client.
Driver will operate from Control Risks’ office in Kyiv. His/her duties are currently restricted within Ukraine’s internationally recognized geographical boundaries; post conflict, this may expand to include duties in neighboring countries.

Role tasks and responsibilities
- Demonstrates safe and competent driving skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Ukraine road safety rules.
- Remains informed about the threats and key issues in Ukraine.
- Conducts vehicle and dismounted immediate action drills.
- Demonstrates client etiquette, discipline, and Control Risks’ low-profile approach.
- Possesses competent navigation skills, including map-reading, compass and use of GPS.
- Uses vehicle-mounted and handheld communication systems.
- Maintains competence in all required skills through regular formal assessment.
- Conducts effective administration, such as vehicle maintenance, equipment husbandry/accountability, reports and returns.
- Conducts venue and route recces and contributes to reports accordingly.
- Assists in conducting risk assessments and operational planning.
