Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and hardworking Crane Lorry Driver to join our metals recycling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a crane lorry safely, delivering and collecting scrap metal and recyclable materials, and assisting with loading and unloading activities. The candidate must possess a valid Singapore Class 4 Driving Licence and have experience operating a lorry-mounted crane.
Key Responsibilities
- 🚛 Drive and operate a crane lorry safely to transport scrap metal, recyclable materials and other goods.
- 🏗️ Operate the lorry-mounted crane to load and unload materials at customer sites and company premises.
- 📦 Assist with manual loading and unloading whenever required.
- 🔩 Collect and deliver ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap according to the daily delivery schedule.
- 📋 Ensure delivery orders, collection records and related documents are completed accurately.
- 🔍 Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical defects or maintenance issues promptly.
- 🧹 Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle and crane equipment.
- ⚠️ Ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations, traffic rules and lifting procedures.
- 🤝 Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- 💪 Assist in the yard with sorting, stacking and handling of metal materials when there are no delivery assignments.
- 📌 Carry out any other duties assigned by the Employer.
Job Requirements
- ✅ Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 Driving Licence.
- ✅ Possess a valid MOM Crane Operator Licence (Lorry Loader) or be qualified to operate a lorry-mounted crane.
- ✅ Previous experience driving crane lorries, preferably in the scrap metal, recycling, logistics or construction industry.
- ✅ Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy materials.
- ✅ Good knowledge of Singapore roads and traffic regulations.
- ✅ Responsible, punctual and safety-conscious.
- ✅ Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- ⭐ Experience in the metals recycling or scrap metal industry.
- ⭐ Forklift operating experience is an advantage.
- ⭐ Good communication skills and positive working attitude.
