Driver (Part Time)

At Pyramid Healthcare New River Valley Inpatient in Radford we specialize in Substance Use Disorder treatment. Pyramid Healthcare Inc. has been in operations since 1999 and currently operate over 80 programs in 8 different states, offering a full continuum of high-quality behavioral health care for individuals suffering from substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and other behavioral health issues.

Summary:

Our Drivers are an integral component in providing care and allowing for access of care for our consumers. Frequently, our Driver is the first person from our facility to be face to face with our consumers. This position is responsible for transporting and supporting clients during travel, maintaining required transportation documentation, responding appropriately to emergencies, and promoting client safety and professionalism while representing the organization in facility and community settings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport clients to and from specified locations safely and within expected timeframes.
  • Supervise and support clients while transporting them to and from designated locations.
  • Maintain all required documentation associated with transportation services provided.
  • Operate assigned vehicles safely and in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and transportation procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of client safety and respond appropriately to emergency or potential risk situations.
  • Communicate transportation concerns, delays, vehicle concerns, client issues, or other relevant information to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client, employee, and company information.
  • Complete all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.

Education/Background/Experience:

  • REQUIRED: Valid driver’s license and maintaining valid drivers license
  • REQUIRED: Current CPR, AED, and First Aid
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Experience providing healthcare transportation
