Driver Recruiter / CDL A

Full Cycle Recruiting:

• Sourcing & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage qualified CDL drivers using Tenstreet.
• Vetting & Compliance: Review applications to ensure candidates meet all FMCSA/DOT standards, including clearing the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse & verifying work history.
• Candidate Experience: Manage the onboarding pipeline, providing a high level of engagement from the initial call through orientation.

2. Technical Training & Evaluation

• Road Testing: Administer behind-the-wheel assessment to evaluate the skill levels of prospective drivers.
• Flatbed Securement Instruction: Lead hands-on training for securing oversized or irregular cargo using chains, straps & tarps.
• Safety Coaching: Educate drivers on preventing cargo movement in all directions (lateral, vertical & forward/backward)

3. Compliance & Retention: Maintain accurate qualification files for all drivers

Required Qualifications:

• License: Valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR
• Experience: 2+ years of verifiable flatbed driving experience with deep knowledge of securement techniques for variou cargo types.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience as a Driver Trainer is a plus
• Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems such as Tenstreet

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record is required.
Prior flatbed experience (steel, coils, lumber etc.) is critical for securement training.
Strong "selling" approach for recruiting, combined with technical knowledge of hours of service and FMCSA safety regulations.
