Driver

OVERVIEW
The Driver-Smallwares is responsible for ensuring the successful installation of commercial kitchen equipment and exceptional delivery service for our customers. While performing the duties of this role, the Driver-Smallwares must comply with all applicable health and safety regulations, policies, and established work practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Driving an automatic 26 ft. box truck and 16 ft. box truck (non-CDL), DOT required
Preparation and assembly of equipment for delivery
Small package delivery
Maintaining a neat and organized work area
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations on job sites, while driving company vehicles and in Singer Kittredge warehouses
Attending required safety training
Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct during work hours

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or Equivalent
OSHA 10-hour construction certification a plus (Company paid if certification is not current)
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial distribution a plus
Experience in Foodservice related industry a plus
Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and a collaborative work style
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated
Customer oriented
Experience with driving straight trucks a plus
Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record
Mechanically inclined
Able to operate powered material handling equipment.
Ability to lift 75+ pounds and carry 50+ pounds.
Primary work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. The position may require overtime hours, overnight stays, out-of-town travel, and weekend work as needed.
