Harbro Ltd is one of Scotland's leading agricultural businesses, committed to delivering exceptional customer service, safety and innovation across our logistics operation. We are looking for an experienced Driver Trainer to join our Transport team and play a key role in developing, supporting, training and coaching our drivers across the business.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for facilitating the training and development of both new and experienced drivers, with a strong focus on driver safety, accident prevention, delivering service excellence and promoting best practice throughout our transport operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport professional who is passionate about developing others, improving standards and helping create a high-performing driver team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver induction and training programmes for new and existing drivers.
  • Conduct Driver Assessments (training on this will be provided).
  • Provide constructive coaching and feedback to support driver development and service to our customers.
  • Promote safe driving practices and help reduce incidents and accidents.
  • Ensure compliance with road transport legislation, tachograph regulations, speed limits, vehicle weight restrictions and load security requirements.
  • Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
  • Support drivers in meeting Health & Safety, DVSA and AIC standards.
  • Encourage a positive company image and excellent customer service standards.
  • Work closely with the wider Logistics team to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support the adoption of new technologies, equipment and best practices within the transport function.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Valid HGV Licence.
  • Previous experience within a transport, logistics or driving environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor and explain expectations clearly.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional, approachable and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and work ethic.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience providing leadership, guidance or training to others.
