Drone Pilot
Summary
Pilot inspection drones for high-rise building façades and confined-space industrial inspections, capturing visual, thermal, and LiDAR data under CAAS and WSH regulations.
The role
We're hiring a CAAS-licensed Drone Pilot to fly our façade and confined-space inspection missions — capturing high-quality visual, thermal and LiDAR data that our engineers turn into inspection reports. You'll fly high-rise façades and pilot collision-tolerant drones inside tanks and vessels, all within full CAAS and WSH compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Operate inspection drones for building façade inspections — 100% visual capture (4K + thermal) following BCA TR78 methodology.
- Pilot collision-tolerant drones (e.g. Flyability Elios 3) for confined-space inspections inside tanks, vessels, boilers and silos — no man-entry.
- Plan and execute missions: site recce, flight-path planning, pre/post-flight checks, battery and equipment management.
- Apply for and operate within CAAS Activity Permits, airspace rules and no-fly zones.
- Capture complete, high-quality imagery/LiDAR; offload and hand over data for processing.
- Comply with WSH, confined-space entry and work-at-height requirements; report incidents promptly.
- Maintain and care for drone equipment.
Requirements
Essential
- Valid CAAS Unmanned Aircraft Pilot Licence (UAPL) — Rotorcraft / multi-rotor.
- Hands-on experience operating commercial inspection drones (DJI Mavic/Flyability Elios 3 or similar).
- Precise flying in tight, GPS-denied or confined environments; strong situational awareness and a clean flying record.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height and in enclosed/confined spaces.
- Willing to travel to sites across Singapore (and occasionally the region).
Advantageous
- Flyability Elios 3 / confined-space drone experience.
- DJI Mavic Pro / facade inspection with drone experience
- Thermal imaging, LiDAR or photogrammetry experience.
- Familiarity with BCA PFI / TR78 façade inspection.
- WSH Confined Space, Work-at-Height, bizSAFE certifications.
- Data-processing skills (Pix4D, Agisoft, Flyability Inspector).
What we offer
- Fly the latest inspection drone/ROV/LiDAR technology on real industrial and building projects.
- A hands-on role in a fast-growing niche, with training and progression.
- Competitive remuneration based on licences and experience.
