Description
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a DTC IT Manager will be responsible for owning
and managing the Magento e-commerce platform and the end-to-end digital
customer journey, from storefront and checkout through order fulfilment,
last-mile delivery, and post-purchase activities. The role will drive solution
design, project delivery, platform performance, and vendor management to ensure
a reliable, scalable, and continuously improving consumer experience.
Responsibilities:
Own platform & solution ownership:
- Own the Magento platform and the DTC technology stack end-to-end — performance, stability, scalability, and security of the consumer-facing channel.
- Own the DTC solution roadmap and backlog within the cross-channel direction set by the Senior Manager; translate business needs into well-designed solutions.
- Maintain accurate catalogue, pricing, and promotion configuration across the DTC channel.
Change & project delivery
- Deliver DTC changes and projects end-to-end — requirements, design, vendor build oversight, testing, release, and adoption.
- Run disciplined release and change management to protect platform stability.
Customer experience & conversion
- Own the DTC digital journey storefront, search, checkout, payments, and post-purchase; drive conversion, reduce cart abandonment, and improve page performance.
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, promotions, and content operations across the channel.
Fulfilment & last mile (DTC)
- Own DTC order-to-delivery integration and DTC last-mile execution (e.g. FarEye) routing, tracking, proof-of-delivery, and returns — within the Senior Manager's cross-channel last-mile direction.
- Ensure accurate order flow between Magento, SAP, and delivery systems.
Data, insight & optimization
- Own DTC analytics (funnel, conversion, delivery performance) with the AI & Data team, and use the data to prioritize improvements.
- Ensure DTC data is accurate and integrated across systems.
Vendor management
- Manage DTC vendors (Scandiweb, FarEye, Easydata) day-to-day for delivery, quality, SLAs, and roadmap, within IT vendor governance and the Senior Manager's oversight.
Governance, security & compliance
- Ensure DTC solutions meet security, data-protection (PDPL), and payment-compliance (e.g. PCI-DSS) standards; partner with the Cybersecurity Manager on consumer-data and checkout risk.
Service transition & escalation
- Transition DTC changes cleanly into Run with documentation and run books, and act as the DTC solution escalation point for the DTC L2 analyst and Service Delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science,
Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, with
hands-on ownership of e-commerce platforms.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the FMCG sector is a must.
- Experience within organizations operating across
multiple locations, including head offices, branches, and manufacturing
facilities is a must.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms,
preferably Magento (Adobe Commerce).
- Proven experience delivering e-commerce projects
and managing digital/e-commerce vendors.
- Strong
understanding of the full DTC journey, including storefront, checkout,
payments, fulfilment, and last-mile delivery.
- Experience integrating e-commerce platforms with
ERP systems (SAP) and delivery systems.
- Magento/Adobe Commerce, PMP, or Agile
certifications are preferred.
- Experience with last-mile/delivery platforms
such as FarEye. Or experience with analytics tools
such as Google Analytics.
- Strong English communication skills.
