Summary
Operates and maintains a diamond turning machine to produce precision optical components, using specialized software and metrology tools.
Job Description:
To take charge of the Diamond Turning process
Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the set-up, programming and safe operation of Diamond turning Machine following established set-up, process and quality work instruction
- Prepares DTM programs for new processes
- Designs and builds tools and fixtures for DTM optical components
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on the DTM machine
- Performs inspection of optical components for compliance to written specifications and works with Quality Assurance with metrics and testing
- Ad-hoc duties
Job Requirements:
- 3+years’ Experience in Diamond turning specially IR materials, Must be experienced with Nanocam and Diffsys Diamond Turning programming softwares.
- Experience in using Metrology equipment’s such as Profilometer, interferometer etc.
- Ability to use relevant computer applications: MS Office, MS Outlook, Master Cam, CNC programming
- Strong knowledge of SPDT machine
- Ability to troubleshoot programs and make adjustments on machine to correct surfaces
- Understand CNC programming and have the ability to create and/or modify CNC programs.
- Ability to read and understand both optical and traditional blue prints. Ability to follow directions
- Positive attitude, including the ability to quickly adapt to changes in production requirements
