Dump Truck Operator / CDL Class A Driver Location: Moore, Oklahoma Job Type: Full-Time
Silver Star Construction is seeking a skilled CDL Class A Driver to operate dump trucks in support of roadway and infrastructure projects. This role involves hauling various construction materials while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
Job Functions
- Transport aggregate materials including gravel, sand, asphalt, and dirt
- Conduct required daily inspections and safety checks
- Climb into and out of the truck cab and trailer during operations
- Ensure loads are properly distributed and secured
- Maintain compliance with maintenance schedules and reporting procedures
- Operate safely under changing weather and road conditions
- Participate in snow and ice removal efforts when necessary
- Complete other transportation-related duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough understanding of dump truck operations
- Strong awareness of vehicle handling, braking, and load management
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Commitment to following all safety requirements
- Ability to recognize and report equipment issues
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A License
- Minimum two years of verifiable DOT-regulated driving experience
- Driving record with no more than two points
- Ability to satisfy all Federal DOT regulations
- Experience completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Availability for overtime, weekends, and evening shifts
- Ability to remain seated for extended driving periods
