Social Media and E-commerce Content Moderator (Fluent in Dutch and English)

We are recruiting a Social Media Content Moderator fluent in Dutch for an international e-commerce and social media project in Lisbon, Portugal.
You will help maintain a safer and more reliable online environment by reviewing content, enforcing platform policies, and ensuring that published materials meet quality and compliance standards.
A welcome bonus of €2,000 is available for this opportunity, subject to confirmation of applicable eligibility and payment conditions.
Responsibilities
As a Content Moderator, you will:
• Review user-generated and e-commerce content according to platform guidelines.
• Identify content that may violate safety, legal, or quality standards.
• Make objective, accurate, and consistent moderation decisions.
• Apply policies considering the cultural and linguistic nuances of Dutch.
• Review content within agreed quality targets and deadlines.
• Escalate complex or sensitive cases according to established procedures.
• Adapt to changes in moderation policies and requirements.
• Maintain accuracy and professionalism when handling potentially sensitive content.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support platform security and service quality.
Requirements
• Dutch at C2 level.
• English at B2 level.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Good judgment and objective decision-making.
• Understanding of online platforms, social media, or e-commerce.
• Ability to follow detailed policies and procedures.
• Resilience when reviewing sensitive materials.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Availability for rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Previous experience in content moderation will be an advantage.
Working Hours
• Monday to Sunday – 24/7 rotating operation
• Full-time position.
• Rotating shifts, including possible night and weekend work.
• Two rotating days off per week.
Salary and Benefits
Indicative Monthly Financial Package: €1,550.00
Based on a 12-month equivalent:
• Base salary: €1,100 gross/month, paid in 14 annual installments.
• Holiday and Christmas bonuses: Combined monthly equivalent of €183.33.
• Complexity bonus: €100 gross/month, payable over 11 months of the year.
• Meal allowance: €7.63 per eligible working day, equivalent to €167.86 for 22 days.
Welcome Bonus of €2,000
An additional welcome bonus of €2,000 is associated with this position. Eligibility requirements, payment schedule and any applicable conditions will be confirmed during recruitment.
