DUTY MANAGER

Job Summary: The successful applicant will be responsible for all hotel operations during overnight shift hours, focusing on front office operations, night auditing, guest and hotel safety/security and generally ensuring a professional and high quality service at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with all managers as required ensuring the smooth running of night operations
  • Monitoring and coordinating all resort operations departments in the absence of the supervisory personnel
  • Responding to, resolving and taking appropriate action on guest complaints or challenges to ensure good guest relations
  • Greeting all guests, VIP's and groups arriving overnight
  • Handling all emergencies, guest and/or employee accidents or security incidents, in conjunction with the security department and any other appropriate department and notifying management
  • Supervising nightly housekeeping activities including monitoring public areas and housekeeping teams in the absence of the executive housekeeper
  • Monitoring nightly food & beverage activities
  • Preparing insightful reports to inform management decision-making and critical evaluation of work activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management or any related field
  • Experience in a night manager role within the hospitality industry
  • Good communication and written Skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Proven experience with front office management systems
