DUTY MANAGER
Job Summary: The successful applicant will be responsible for all hotel operations during overnight shift hours, focusing on front office operations, night auditing, guest and hotel safety/security and generally ensuring a professional and high quality service at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Communicating with all managers as required ensuring the smooth running of night operations
- Monitoring and coordinating all resort operations departments in the absence of the supervisory personnel
- Responding to, resolving and taking appropriate action on guest complaints or challenges to ensure good guest relations
- Greeting all guests, VIP's and groups arriving overnight
- Handling all emergencies, guest and/or employee accidents or security incidents, in conjunction with the security department and any other appropriate department and notifying management
- Supervising nightly housekeeping activities including monitoring public areas and housekeeping teams in the absence of the executive housekeeper
- Monitoring nightly food & beverage activities
- Preparing insightful reports to inform management decision-making and critical evaluation of work activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management or any related field
- Experience in a night manager role within the hospitality industry
- Good communication and written Skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Customer service skills
- Proven experience with front office management systems
