Job Summary
Duty Manager within the Operations department. The role carries full accountability for ground-level shift execution, driver management, operational compliance, and exception response during assigned shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute all shift operations including deploying drivers, assigning vehicles, preparing routes, and conducting pre-departure briefings to ensure smooth logistics flow
- Enforce the Vehicle Pre-Trip Inspection Protocol (OPS-02) by verifying every vehicle has a completed and signed inspection record before departure
- Monitor all active deliveries in real time and initiate immediate driver status checks with documented responses for any delivery delayed beyond 15 minutes
- Classify operational exceptions as P1, P2, or P3 according to the Company’s Unified Escalation Protocol and escalate to the Head of Operations Centre (HOC) within the specified SLA (P1: 30 minutes, P2: 2 hours, P3: 4 hours)
- Complete and submit the Daily Shift Performance Summary to the HOC by 2300hrs or within 30 minutes of shift end, whichever is earlier
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing a fleet of 30 to 80 drivers
- Valid Class 3 or Class 4 driving license or forklift license is advantageous but not mandatory
- Goal-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to engage with all organizational levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Detail-oriented, mature, positive, and capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
