DWDM engineer / Datacom engineer manpower
Summary
Engineer responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing DWDM and datacom networks (switches, routers) to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform commissioning, integration, testing, troubleshooting, software upgrades, and maintenance of DWDM and Datacom equipment (Switches & Routers).
- Execute post-deployment support, preventive maintenance, and network optimization activities.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues to ensure high network availability and performance.
- Participate in project implementation, service activation, network acceptance, and operations & maintenance (O&M).
- Prepare technical reports, maintain documentation, and track equipment issues.
- Develop implementation and maintenance plans in accordance with project requirements.
- Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer sessions for customers.
- Gather customer feedback on products, services, and technical solutions.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and presentations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery and achievement of project KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in telecommunications, networking, or technical support.
- Experience working with DWDM or Datacom (Switching & Routing) technologies.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VPN, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts.
- Knowledge of optical transmission technologies is an advantage.
- Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and network optimization.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
- English proficiency (technical communication); Russian and/or Uzbek is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for project support when required.
