Summary
Performs DXA scans, reviews images, and enters data for research participants while ensuring safety and privacy protocols in a clinical setting.
Job Scope:
- Obtain consent from research participants.
- Perform health assessments including anthropometry and blood pressure measurement when necessary.
- (Upon completion of training) Perform bone densitometry and whole body composition scans on 20 participants per health screening session, keeping to the turnaround time per participant for that procedure.
- Review images and perform data entry accurately, noting any observation of anomalies. Flag anomalies on the scan images to the radiologist for determination of clinical significance.
- Analyse scans to derive the bone density and body composition accurately, and upload to the research database.
- Perform regular quality control and calibration procedures and maintenance of equipment.
- Update the inventory of consumables.
- Ensure the safety and protect the privacy of research participants by adhering to best practices. Reporting of incidents, complaints or adverse events.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum Diploma in Sciences
- At least 1 year experience as a technologist in an X-ray facility.
- Full-time work hours are: 7.45am to 6.15pm on Mon, Tue, Thu and Fri; and 7.45am to 3.15pm on alternate Sat.
