Dye Floor Operator

PURPOSE:

To coordinate all operations on the Dye Floor and to ensure only first quality fabric gets processed though the dye floor process.

Job Type: Full-time

**This position is for 2nd shift**

DUTIES: Including, but not limited to:

• Follow and abide by all plant and area safety rules.
• Get a rundown on every machine, its status, its operating conditions, its scheduling status and any problems if applicable from the previous shift.
• Load and unload all dye machines in a timely manner in order to minimize downtime.
• Verify that the lot # on the load chart, Qdocs screen, and set ticket match.
• Verify conformance to the required specifications.
• Monitor jets throughout the cycle.
• Report any tangle or mechanical opportunities to service area coordinator or PPI.
• Complete all documentation including, dye floor log books, tangle reports, process routing, lot #’s on each end of fabric, lean board, and white cards.
• Set up machine to correct specs and verify that the turnover times are correct in the jets.
• Set up machine for cleanups following safety and setup specs..
• Patch all lots at unload and take patches to service area, place in spinner.
• Sew good seams and initial each one.
• Write the lot on ends of the fabric.
• Verify direction is correct to the next process.
• Place OK/reject card on each lot and place in appropriate area.
• Maintain housekeeping in superior condition, this includes box alignment, hosing the floor down, picking up all trash and fabric waste, etc.
