Dyehouse Operator
We are seeking a Dyehouse Operator in Reidsville, NC!
How will you play an integral role?
- Operate yarn dyeing, drying, compression, and material-handling equipment to support the production process.
- Load, unload, compress, transport, dye, and dry yarn packages while maintaining production quality standards.
- Safely operate prime movers, overhead hoists, hand trucks, and related equipment.
- Support shift and department goals by maintaining productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in and support safety programs, procedures, housekeeping initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional departments.

We offer competitive hourly rates for this role, up to $18.56/hr.

We do! We offer a variety of shifts, with our current opening for this role being on night shift, 4-10 schedule (Monday-Thursday from 7 pm - 5 am).

- Safety – Demonstrates behaviors that support and promote a safe work environment. Consistently follows safety procedures, uses required PPE, identifies and reports unsafe conditions, and helps maintain a clean and organized work area.
Are you qualified for the position?
- Ability to read, write, and understand safety rules, operating procedures, production documents, and written instructions.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately record production data.
- Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to reach and safely handle yarn packages, carriers, and production materials.
- Hand and finger dexterity required to install and remove hardware, operate controls, and handle yarn packages.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move yarn packages and production materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate prime movers, overhead hoists, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes and quality standards.
- Previous manufacturing, textile, warehouse, or industrial production experience is a plus, but not required; training will be provided.
Education
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience
- Previous textile, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial production experience is preferred, but not required; training will be provided.
- Experience operating material-handling equipment, overhead hoists, prime movers, or similar industrial machinery is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
- Must be able to work independently and effectively manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, production procedures, and quality control practices is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and production documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address operational issues.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail when handling yarn packages, recording production data, and monitoring dyeing and drying processes.
