Dynamic Security Assessment Specialist
Summary
TenneT is hiring a Dynamic Security Assessment Specialist to assess grid dynamics and stability in its high-voltage transmission network, performing grid studies, modelling electrical grids and improving model quality. The role blends power system engineering with IT skills such as PowerFactory, Python and cloud-native technologies.
This position is ideal for an IT-savvy electrical engineer who wants to apply deep power system knowledge in TenneT’s high-stakes, fast-moving, technology-driven operational environment.
Experience en skills:
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
- Demonstrable knowledge of electrical power systems and transmission networks. Experience with RMS calculations for the assessment of grid dynamics and stability is considered a strong advantage.
- Hands-on experience in performing grid studies for high-voltage networks, including modelling electrical grids and assessing and improving model quality.
- Proven experience with grid modelling software. Knowledge of PowerFactory is considered an advantage.
- Strong affinity with modern IT and cloud-native technologies, and comfortable working at the intersection of operational processes, analytical methods and digital technology.
- Experience with Python programming and/or developing analytical tools is considered a strong advantage.
- Good communication and collaboration skills. As a team player, you are aware of your environment and actively make use of the knowledge and expertise of others.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to oversee a broad scope.
- Ability to create structure and direction in an evolving environment.
- Professional proficiency in English is a must; Dutch language skills are considered an advantage.
