Dynamics 365 Functional SME

to take ownership of the Finance and Project Operations modules within their enterprise ERP environment. In this role, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert on how financial and project accounting processes are configured, maintained, and integrated with downstream consolidation and reporting platforms. This is a high-impact position sitting at the intersection of finance, technology, and operations, offering the opportunity to shape the end-to-end financial systems architecture of a globally recognised organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the functional design, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Dynamics 365 Finance, covering General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash and Bank Management
  
• Maintain the chart of accounts, financial dimensions, posting profiles, tax and VAT setup, and legal-entity configuration across multi-entity, multi-currency environments
  
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, intercompany processing, and the delivery of accurate financial data for group consolidation and statutory reporting
  
• Own the design and configuration of Dynamics 365 Project Operations and Project Management and Accounting, including project setup, contracts, budgets, costing, revenue recognition, and billing workflows
  
• Configure project cost capture from timesheets, purchase orders, and expenses; define cost rates and categories in alignment with Finance teams
  
• Act as functional lead for Dynamics roll-outs to new legal entities, including fit-gap workshops, localisation, data migration, UAT, and cut-over activities
  
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and review and test changes delivered by implementation partners
  
• Design security roles and duties aligned with the Finance operating model and segregation-of-duties requirements, and manage user licence mapping for compliance and cost optimisation
  

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or Dynamics AX, including direct configuration and support responsibilities
  
• Demonstrated experience with Dynamics 365 Project Operations or Project Management and Accounting modules
  
• Solid accounting knowledge with a strong understanding of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes across multi-entity, multi-currency environments
  
• Experience with OneStream financial consolidation, planning, and reporting, including trial-balance uploads, chart-of-accounts mapping, and group consolidation processes (is a bonus)
  
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant certification (is a bonus)
