EACOP HSE INCIDENT MANAGEMENT & REPORTING COORDINATOR

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Professional experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent formal qualification in a recognized HSE discipline

• Relevant HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH) is required.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an HSE role in the oil and gas industry or large-scale industrial project.

Technical competencies:

• Proficiency in HSE management systems and incident reporting

• Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies and tools

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to HSE incident management.

Behavioural competencies:

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural business setting

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Fluent in English: Speaking and Writing

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure company-wide awareness of the incident management procedures and processes.

• Ensure systemic investigation of the reported incidents and case management in the EACOP incident

management system.

• Ensure stakeholder involvement in the incident management process

• Ensure the lessons learned from incidents are shared and communicated

ACTIVITIES

• Ensure company-wide awareness of the incident management procedures and processes:

o Provide training on the EACOP incident management procedures and processes to EACOP workers ensuring they understand their role and responsibility.

o Implement communication strategies to ensure all stakeholders are aware of the incident management procedures and their importance.

o Promote the utilization of the EACOP Incident management tools for incident reporting, tracking, and analysis to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

o Establish a culture of immediate incident reporting and ensure easy access to reporting tools.

o Stay updated with industry best practices and incorporate them into the incident management procedures.

• Incident investigation and case management:

o Keep comprehensive logs of all incidents including details such as time, location, individuals involved, and

immediate actions taken.

o Ensure systemic investigation processes to identify contributing factors and root causes using analytical

tools and techniques.

o Provide guidance, support and assistance during incident reporting and management to the various

stakeholders

o Overall monitoring of the status of incident cases entered in the Incident management system/software to

ensure accuracy, system triggers/actions, and case close out.

o Regularly review and audit the incident management process to identify gaps and areas for improvement.

• Ensure stakeholder involvement in the incident management process:

o Coordinate incident review meetings with the relevant stakeholders.

o Obtain feedback from employees, contractors, and other stakeholders on the incident management

processes and use it to make improvements to the process accordingly

• Ensure the lessons learned from incidents are shared and communicated:

o Monitor the implementation of preventative and corrective actions to ensure they are completed effectively in the incident management tool and actions are close-out.

o Maintain a lesson learnt culture within the Company by communicating lessons learnt from incidents both internally and externally.

o Preparation of, and sharing of lessons learnt via available HSE communications tools such as HSE Alerts, HSE REX , newsletters, reports etc.

• Participate in implementing the Zero Harm Safety Culture program among the EACOP teams.

• Assist in the implementation of Company Safety Policies, Standards and Guidelines

• Any other duty as might be assigned by the hierarchy
