Early Career Civil/Structural Engineer - Renewables

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Civil/Structural Engineer (Renewables) for our Billings, Montana office. Be involved in projects with our Renewables Generation Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges.

The Early Career Civil/Structural Engineer (Renewables) will share responsibility with the rest of the cross-discipline department to produce a product consistent with WSP's mission statement and our culture. They are expected to support the department in achieving the goals of the department, maintain WSP's high-quality standards, promote internal teamwork and meet the needs of our clients.

Your Impact

· The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of civil design for Renewables Generation (wind/solar/BESS) projects, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout.

· Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

· Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

· A BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university

· The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel

· Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

· Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

· Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

· 0-1 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

· Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)

· Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying

· Structural analysis design software experience is a plus

· Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering is desirable

· Engineer In Training (EIT) registrations is desired

Expected Salary (all locations): $60,600 - $100,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
