Job Description\:
The Early Careers & Skills Development Coach will play a key role in developing the next generation of engineering talent, delivering high-quality coaching, learning and assessment to apprentices and early careers learners. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will support learners throughout their development journey, providing guidance, mentoring and welfare support while assessing progress against recognised frameworks and standards. You will create an engaging learning environment that inspires learners to achieve their full potential, develop occupational competence and build successful careers within the business.
Core duties\:
- Deliver high-quality coaching, learning and assessment to early careers learners
- Support, mentor and motivate learners to achieve their full potential
- Assess and monitor learner progress against SCQF Level 7 frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Design engaging learning experiences that build skills, knowledge and problem-solving capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement through innovative coaching and development practices
- Develop placement plans across diverse engineering disciplines. (Mechanical, structural, electrical & outfit)
Essential Skills\:
- Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience
- Experience working within an engineering environment
- Experience supporting, developing or training others, either formally or informally
- Design engineering experience would be advantageous
- Assessor qualification (L&D9) or willingness to work towards achieving this

You'll join a collaborative and supportive Early Careers team dedicated to developing the next generation of engineering talent. Working alongside experienced coaches, business stakeholders and training providers, you'll play a key role in shaping learners' careers and helping them reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering background who is passionate about developing others, with full support available to gain an Assessor Qualification (L&D9) and build a rewarding career in learning and skills development.
