Early Childhood Associate (Sunday Morning Childcare)

The part-time Early Childhood Associate is responsible for nurturing infants and toddlers in a caring and safe environment and teaching the provided age-appropriate basic Christian curriculum. The schedule is 2-3 hours per week on Sunday mornings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Nurture children in a caring and safe environment.
• Teach basic Christian curriculum to young children.
• Develop positive relationships and communicate effectively with children and parents.
• Participate in and supervise all activities ensuring a safe environment at all times.
• Manage check-in and check-out process for children.
• If assigned to baby/toddler room, must be comfortable changing diapers.
• Meet the needs of children in your care, which can include changing diapers, administering bottles or snacks, holding, rocking, and soothing infants.
• Must have excellent reliability and attendance and follow Church policies and procedures.
• Provide at least a two-week notice of absence, when at all possible, to allow securement of substitutes by supervisor.
• Communicate needs to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
