About The Opportunity

Field House Brooklyn is seeking an enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing Early Childhood Sports Coach to lead fun, age-appropriate athletic activities for children ages 3–5. The ideal candidate understands early childhood development and is passionate about building a positive foundation for lifelong physical activity and teamwork. This is not about competition — it's about movement, joy, and confidence.

As an Early Childhood Sports Coach you'll be expected to:

• Plan and deliver engaging, structured sports sessions tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers (ages 3–5).
• Introduce fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, balancing, throwing, and catching through games and activities.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where every child feels welcome and celebrated.
• Adapt activities to accommodate varying skill levels, attention spans, and physical abilities.
• Maintain active supervision and ensure the physical safety of all participants at all times.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress, participation, and enjoyment.
• Set up and break down equipment before and after sessions.
• Follow all organizational policies related to child safety, including appropriate background check requirements.
• Collaborate with program coordinators and fellow staff to maintain a cohesive and positive program culture.
