Early Intervention Developmental Specialist
Summary
Provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers, including home visits and family coaching, while coordinating care with providers and developing Individual Family Service Plans.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all areas of infant-toddler development.
- Utilize a parent coaching model in work with families.
- Participate in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits, and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
- Provide home-based services to families across the catchment area.
- Collaborate with community providers to ensure continuity of services for families including child care providers, medical providers, social service agencies, and specialty providers serving children with autism or hearing/vision loss.
- Provide service coordination to assigned caseload including coordinating the development, monitoring, and review of the Individual Family Service Plan.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in infants and toddlers, early childhood education, special education or child studies.
- 300 hours of practicum or work experience with children under five years of age.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, and Office365 including Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Ability to use computer-based technology including a computer/laptop and cell phone
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish candidates are highly encouraged to apply
