Summary
Performs echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures, calculates measurements, and documents results for physician review in a healthcare setting.
Up to 10K Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility
Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures. Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to care for age specific needs of the population served as measured by completion of mandatory training and direct observation by supervisor,
- Performs EKG's
- Demonstrates ability to file patient reports, and assist physicians with HIS system
- May supervise/precept students, volunteers, or new employees.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required
- Education: Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School
- Experience: 6 months in clinical setting
- License/Certification:
- Registry eligible
- BLS.
Preferred
- Experience: 2 years
- License/Certification:
- RDMS or RDCS
