eCommerce Manager

Your opportunity:

As an Ecommerce Manager, you are accountable for delivering the ecommerce strategy and driving the commercial performance of your category across digital channels. You will lead the optimisation of online sales, conversion, customer experience, and digital merchandising across web and app platforms.

Working closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Lifecycle Marketing (CLM), Digital Growth and Technology you will execute data-driven trading plans, campaigns, and optimisation initiatives that maximise revenue and customer engagement. You will use customer insights, performance analytics, and ecommerce best practice to identify growth opportunities, improve the end-to-end customer journey, and deliver sustainable digital growth.

You will play a critical role in balancing commercial outcomes with customer experience, ensuring the category remains competitive, relevant, and aligned to broader business objectives.

You'll make impact by:

Ecommerce Trading & Performance

  • Support delivery of the category ecommerce strategy and commercial objectives.
  • Execute day-to-day trading activities to drive digital sales and conversion outcomes.
  • Monitor and optimise key ecommerce metrics including: Digital Orders, Conversion Rate, Digital Sales Mix & Customer Satisfaction
  • Identify performance risks and commercial opportunities through regular analysis.
  • Support weekly trading reviews, performance insights & reporting.
  • Maintain visibility of category performance and recommend corrective actions where required.

    Conversion Optimisation & Experimentation

  • Drive conversion rate optimisation initiatives across customer journeys.
  • Execute experimentation programs including: A/B Testing, Personalisation, Audience Targeting & Funnel Optimisation
  • Analyse customer behaviour and performance data to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Partner with Digital Growth and Analytics teams to measure performance and implement learnings.
  • Support delivery of experimentation roadmaps and growth initiatives.

    Digital Merchandising & Customer Experience

  • Manage onsite merchandising across key digital touchpoints.
  • Optimise offer presentation, product placement, navigation and content experiences.
  • Ensure campaigns and offers are effectively represented across digital channels.
  • Identify and remove customer friction points across the digital funnel.
  • Support improvements that drive customer satisfaction and reduce customer struggle.
  • Ensure digital experiences align with ecommerce best practice

    Campaign Execution

  • Coordinate implementation of ecommerce campaigns and digital trading events.
  • Support delivery of major ecommerce moments including seasonal campaigns, product launches and promotional activity.
  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimisation actions.
  • Work with Marketing, Product and CLM teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Contribute to post-campaign analysis and performance reviews.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build effective relationships with Product, Marketing, CLM, Technology and Digital teams.
  • Provide regular updates on performance, opportunities and risks.
  • Support cross-functional prioritisation discussions.
  • Champion customer experience and commercial outcomes across all digital activities.

    KPI’s (Sales, Customer, Operational)

  • Squad Digital Sales: Conversion Rate %
  • Squad Experimentation / CRO: Volume of A/B tests #
  • Squad Delivery KPI’s: SLAs, Velocity, Flow Efficiency %, On Time delivery.
  • Digital Sales: Digital Sales Mix %, Digital Sales Volume #
  • Customer Experience: Customer Satisfaction %, Customer Struggle Rate %.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in operating an eCommerce business and managing digital marketing channels.
  • Extensive understanding of digital marketing solutions, the production process and the technologies that underpin these solutions.
  • Strong experience of digital marketing traffic and channels, including email, social media, search, and display advertising.
  • Strong experience working with web developers, digital producers, visual designers, and copywriters to deliver integrated digital marketing campaigns through an agile framework.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce platforms, content management systems, and digital marketing tools.
  • Proficiency in analysing data with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and optimise campaign performance.
  • Strong project management and planning skills, you are excellent at problem solving.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to peers, stakeholders, and management.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver their best work.
  • Ability to respond effectively and quickly to business’s needs and issues, mitigate risks and implement relevant solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively, delivering campaigns on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Passion for staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and agile, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organisation; you are organised, creative, flexible, self-motivated and have meticulous attention to detail.\
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
