Description

Compensation: $60k – $70k • No equity

About us

Shoreside is a holding company building enduring businesses. This role runs ecommerce for our fast-growing health and wellness line, selling flagship products through a Shopify storefront, a wholesale channel, and a subscription program. We hold ourselves to compliant, lab-tested, GMP-standard manufacturing. Finance is run by an outsourced fractional-CFO and bookkeeping partner who works with us weekly.

The role

You own the day-to-day operation of our online business: orders, customers, the storefront roadmap, suppliers and inventory. You're also the in-house operator our finance partner works through. They build the cash forecast, margin analysis and P&L; you supply the operating data those run on, sit in the weekly finance session, and turn what they find into changes on the store and with supplier. Generalist operator, product-owner mindset, comfortable with numbers.

Reports to: Owner / CEO

What you'll own

  • Storefront & orders. Shopify orders end to end, including subscriptions and wholesale. Fraud screening, fulfillment SLAs, customer service across email and chat, reviews, refunds and chargebacks.
  • Suppliers & inventory. Factory and supplier relationships, POs, receiving against invoices, 3PL coordination, and weeks-of-cover. You negotiate terms; finance models them against cash before you commit.
  • Finance partner counterpart. Send the weekly operating data drop, join the weekly finance session, explain variances, and ship the fixes from the margin playbook: pricing, promos, SKU mix, supplier terms.
  • Product owner for the store. Scope and prioritize storefront work, write tickets, QA developer builds, and run the regression checklist after every release: checkout, subscriptions, account, search, mobile.
  • QA web copy, product pages and ad creative for regulatory compliance, includingno unauthorized health or efficacy claims.
  • Maintain state-by-state shipping restrictions in Shopify as regulations change.
  • Coordinate the email and SMS calendar with our marketing partner; share the promo calendar with finance four weeks out.
  • Run the wholesale storefront: account setup, B2B orders and fulfillment; chase late payers off finance's aging report.
  • Weekly ops KPIs to ownership: orders, AOV, CS load, SLAs, subscription churn, chargebacks.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of ecommerce operations, ideally on Shopify.
  • Regulated CPG experience (supplements, beverages or similar) where compliance review is part of the job.
  • Supplier and vendor relationships including negotiation. You're comfortable on the phone with a factory rep.
  • Numbers fluency: you can read a P&L, talk contribution margin by SKU, and explain why last week's numbers moved.
  • Product-owner habits with developers: clear tickets, real QA, regression testing after launches.
  • Strong written communication and calm under volume.

Bonus

  • Worked alongside a fractional CFO or outsourced finance team.
  • Shopify subscription apps (Recharge, Skio, Bold), Klaviyo, Judge.me.
  • Multi-state shipping compliance for restricted products.
  • Inventory planning tools or a habit of building your own in a spreadsheet.
