ED/SVP Regional CBG Retail Data Chapter Lead Transformation and Data Group COO

You will lead the end-to-end data, analytics, and AI ecosystem. You will define analytics strategy, identify business opportunities, and oversee the full lifecycle of data products. You will guide data professionals, develop their capabilities, manage performance and staffing, and ensure AI models and data practices meet governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CBG leadership to identify analytics opportunities.
• Develop analytics strategy and capabilities for AI and machine learning.
• Prioritize data analytics workstreams and backlogs.
• Oversee the lifecycle of data products from build through continuous improvement.
• Ensure scalable and resilient data and analytics pipelines.
• Increase adoption of AI protocols and reusable data science assets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop data scientists, data translators, and analysts.
• Manage performance, career progression, and allocation of chapter members.
• Ensure AI and generative AI models comply with internal policies.
• Champion data quality and data governance protocols.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in data science and analytics, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree, preferably in a science- or finance-related discipline.
• Experience taking advanced AI products from ideation to enterprise-scale production.
• Business experience in financial services, preferably banking.
• Banking domain knowledge, ideally in institutional banking or banking operations.
• Knowledge of predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, machine learning, AI, generative AI, and agentic AI.
• Understanding of modern AI architectures, agentic workflows, machine learning algorithms, modern data stacks, cloud platforms, and MLOps principles.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
