Kennedy School is seeking a dedicated Educational Assistant (Parent funded, full time) to provide one-to-one support for a student with diverse needs, adapting between the classroom and individualised settings as required.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience supporting learning diversity and working directly with students to enhance their learning experience. Commencing as soon as possible, this position is expected to run for the full school year, depending on the child's circumstances.

In this role, you will help the student thrive in their classroom environment through individual guidance and small-group support.

Responsibilities

  • Support the child’s general well-being, confidence, and physical/emotional safety across all learning environments, including outdoor and playground settings.

  • Help the child access learning by implementing a comprehensive support plan with clear routines, visual schedules, and organisational strategies.

  • Model and reinforce positive behaviours and self-regulation techniques within the classroom and during transitions.

  • Work closely alongside the classroom teacher and inclusion team to adapt learning activities, enabling the child to flourish and build independence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be kind, caring, friendly, and eager to make a positive impact in young people's lives.

  • Have proven background working with primary-aged children in 1:1 or small-group settings.

  • Be a positive team player, keen to try new learning strategies and technologies.

  • Clear and effective in communicating with students, teachers and the wider school staff.

The successful applicant will be offered a temporary contract on a term time basis.

ESF Kennedy School occupies a pleasant location on the west of Hong Kong Island.
