EHS Coordinator
Summary
Coordinate workplace safety and environmental compliance in a manufacturing facility, maintaining ISO certifications and local regulations while conducting audits and training.
·Under the leadership of the EHS manager, the EHS Coordinatoris responsible for ensuring that Starline’s facility is in compliance with all applicableEHS legal requirements, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements, and corporateoperational requirements
·Conduct regular inspection of workplace andrecommend and implement reasonably practical control measures
·Maintain an existing Job Safety Analysis (JSA)program, Emergency Action Plan, Legal Register, and Risk Management System
·Ensure Emergency Response plans are in properworking conditions and coordinating emergency drills
·Conduct activities related to environmental compliance, reporting, regulatory permitting, hazardous waste handling, and waste reduction/recycling programs
·Oversee maintenance of all EHS records, reports, permits, and training documentation.
·Monitor subcontractors' compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
·Support internal and external EHS audits
·Prepare monthly safety committee meetings, reporting safety metrics, and departmental safety audits
·Demonstrate high standards of conduct and integrity
· Additional duties as required by management
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Diploma in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field with WSQ Advanced Cert (Level B) in WSH
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds and skill sets
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- 2 ~ 3years EHS experience preferred in manufacturing sector (required)
- Good knowledge of ISO-14001 and ISO-45001 Management Systems
- Good knowledge of Singapore EHS legal requirements
- Strong documentation skills with revision control
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Certified Work-at-Height Supervisor and Lifting Supervisor preferred
Personal Qualities/Behaviors:
•This position will have exposure to the manufacturing areas where, under certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required
•Ability to stand, bend and walk for extended periods of time
•Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently
