Job Responsibilities

Environmental Strategy and Compliance

  • Supports and execute the implementation of EHS strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy/ plan.

  • Manage site’s EHS protocols; including fire safety matters to the requirements of site & corporate directives, local legislations and other requirements (i.e. REACH, RoHS, Conflict of Minerals, OHSA and etc.)

  • Follow up mandatory notifications with regards to licenses/ permits and relevant WSH reports (i.e. iReporting, Medical Examinations submissions etc.) to ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations related to our factory operations.

  • Implement operational management practices in line with ISO14001/ 45001 standards, including document management, record storage, and emergency response.

Consultant and Government Coordination

  • Select and collaborate with EHS consultants as needed.

  • Support on-time renewal of all licenses and permit without any lapse.

  • Aggregate and report environmental impact data in accordance to ISO14001 Standards and Corporate Directives

  • Sustenance of EHS rules and regulations with respect to the additions, changes and reviews by local mandatory Agencies for compliance and governance.

  • Manage incident reports and ensure follow-up actions (reactive/preventive) are implemented.

  • Manage EHS documentation and ensure up-to-date reviews.

  • Respond to EHS-related questionnaires from customers and government agencies.

Environmental Health and Safety Facilities Management

  • Oversee the management of EHS facilities, including renewable energy installations.

  • Develop specifications, request price quotes, and prepare proposal documents for EHS projects.

  • Supervise addition/ alteration works within the facility, with regards to safety and health management, inspections and audits.

  • Organize monthly EHS committee meeting and EHS inspections

  • Develop and conduct EHS&F trainings, liaise training schedule with operations team and facilitate trainings as required.

Industrial Waste Management

  • Manage operations related to industrial waste, ensuring proper handling and disposal.

EHS Policies and ESG Initiatives

  • Collaborate, Develop and implement essential Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to meet regulatory and industry standards.

  • Supports the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, focusing on sustainability projects and reporting.

International Collaboration and Risk Management

  • Collaborate with international factory teams to conduct risk assessments, improve emergency response protocols, and investigate incidents to prevent future occurrences.

  • Lead and manage Risk Assessment (RA) teams; including reviewing, control and maintenance of RA reports.

  • Support the operations in identifying, assessing any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or process, risk management and consulting

Project and Mechanical Improvement Management

  • Oversee project management for new buildings and facilities, including redevelopment projects.

  • Implement mechanical improvement projects by planning, procuring contracts, and executing upgrades to mechanical services infrastructure in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

  • Manage contractors undertaking new and/ or improvement projects and maintenance/ service term contractors. This shall include the monitoring of the contractor’s performance and administration from start till the completion of work.

  • Handle and manage contractors, and their deliverables according to requirements, approved quotation &/or agreement.

Job Requirements

Professional Qualifications:

  • Relevant Diploma/ Degree in Environment, Workplace Safety & Health or equivalent

  • Registered WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower

  • Registered ECO with the National Environment Agency

  • Certified FSM by the Singapore Civil Defence Force

  • Possesses 3-5 years of experience in EHS management, particularly on the essential practices with regards to manufacturing operations, equipment and chemical management.

  • Ability to work well with various departments; demonstrating relevant knowledge in EHS Operational controls

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experienced in communicating and negotiating with government agencies.

  • Strong knowledge of local environmental, health and safety legislations and other regulatory practices (i.e. OSHA, REACH, RoHS and Conflict of Minerals.

  • Familiar with ISO14001/ISO45001 standards, RBA and internal auditing.

  • Experienced in facility installation, start-up, and management of building and utility construction projects.

  • Experienced in working within multinational corporations (MNCs) is an advantage.
