EHS Officer cum FSM

Responsibilities:

EHS Officer

  • Advise on-site team to discharge their statutory duties under the WSH Act. Assist the team in the identification of workplace safety and health and environmental risks and in recommending and implementation of the necessary control measures.
  • Disseminating and implementing updates to the onsite team on the WSH Act, environmental and other legal requirements.
  • Conducting and review risk assessments and aspect and impact analysis, the recommendation of safety measures, safe work procedures and environmental matters.
  • Maintaining EHS management system documents and ensuring enforcement.
  • Monitoring and reporting EHS performance on a regular basis, including timely incident investigations and reporting.
  • Assisting Facilities & Operations Manager in rehearsing emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conducting environmental, health and safety audits for site operations and recommending continual improvements.
  • Qualifying contractors and suppliers in order to ensure that they comply with company's site environmental, health and safety standards and policies.
  • Reviewing and identifying safety competency training for site staff on safe work practices and procedures.
  • Organizing EHS outreach activities and promotional programmes for ENGIE site staff.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.

FSM

  • Observe and comply with all prevailing and regulations relating to Fire Safety Act.
  • Conduct fire safety training for staff.
  • Carry out regular building inspection and ensure non-compliance of fire safety are addressed and rectified.
  • Ensure building fire evacuation routes are free from obstruction.
  • Ensure building fire evacuation plans are in place.
  • Submit monthly fire safety report.
  • Conduct table top exercise regularly.
  • Conduct fire drill exercise, fire risk assessment and incident management.
  • Ensure staff and contractors comply with the safety regulations.
  • Ensure all works carried out safely and/or in accordance with safety procedure

Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomics, Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other topics relevant to Occupational Safety and Health;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant trade for FSM role.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant trade for EHS Officer role
  • Successfully completed a course in relation to WSH Officer (i.e. Safety Officer Training Course);
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager (according to SCDF's requirement for complex buildings)
  • Possess internal auditing skill on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge on WSH Act, environmental & other legal requirements
  • Able to organize and carry out EHS-related trainings
  • Able to establish and maintain a system of records and quality related documentation
  • Able to attain all the necessary permits and licenses
  • Pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure
  • Possess a high level of initiative and integrity
  • Able to work Independently and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behavior.
