EHS Specialist II - AR TEST

Role Summary: Coordinate and conduct assessments of environmental issues to ensure operational activities are consistent with the needs of the organization and requirements of governmental regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards by identifying risks, promoting safe practices, and escalating serious issues as needed.
Conduct incident investigations and audits to resolve compliance issues, report findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Provide regulatory guidance and business advice by addressing complex queries and supporting internal stakeholders with policy interpretation.
Collect, analyze, and report data using standard tools to support decision-making and prepare documentation for audits and special reports.
Support internal communication and capability building by advising on communication tools and participating in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (e.g., BA, BS, BEng) in Environmental Health and Safety or related field or equivalent work experience.
General Experience: 1 year of experience with health and safety programs in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong data analysis and control skills to identify trends, manage environmental and safety data, and support compliance reporting.
Proficiency in auditing and risk management to assess workplace practices, identify exceptions, and recommend corrective actions.
Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure safe systems of work and regulatory compliance.
Effective verbal and presentation communication skills to deliver clear guidance, training, and policy updates across teams.
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures to align safety practices with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Advanced planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and ensure timely execution of EHS initiatives.
