EIF Warehouse Sanitation

Job Summary:

The Sanitation employee is responsible for supporting the cleaning and sanitizing functions of the warehouse operation. This position includes active participation in tasks necessary to ensure that the warehouse maintains a safe and hygienic environment, in compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company standards.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
2. Promote health and safety in the workplace.
3. Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and inspection regulations.
4. Read chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals.
5. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and the warehouse environment using various chemicals such as chlorinated alkaline detergents, acid detergents, and different sanitizers (QUAT, PerQUAT, chlorine-based).
6. Responsible for cleanliness of the warehouse using a Zamboni style, ride on floor cleaner (XR-40 FactoryCat) and various pressure washing systems.
7. Use powered equipment such as pallet jack and/or forklift to move product and pallets through the warehouse.
8. General sweeping, moping, dusting and trash removal.
9. Perform maintenance duties such as removing scale and rust from equipment using acids.
10. Maintain all tools in good working order and report any damage to company property immediately.
11. Follow instructions and pre-established procedures to carry out the functions of the job.
12. Work to support cross functional departments to meet company production targets.
13. Complete checklists and documents for assigned work areas daily.
14. Complete additional task as assigned by manager.
