Summary
Lead and perform maintenance on electrical power systems, including generators, switchgear, and high-voltage distribution, ensuring safety and operational compliance at a remote military facility.
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will operate, maintain and repair all assigned electrical generating equipment such as: Exciters, alternators, DC generators and control circuits, voltage controls, battery backup system, switchgear and transformers.
You will ensure the care, inspection, certification and replacement of all safety equipment.
You will perform simple repairs to the high voltage distribution system such as cutouts, fuses, lightning arrestors, opening and closing circuit switches, etc.
You will advise and implement the power plant maintenance program, interprets work instructions from the Utilities Supervisor.
You will perform leadership duties by demonstrating proper operating methods and explains any unusual steps and processes.
